About Johannes Chudoba

Johannes Chudoba writes about sovereignty, political transition, and the long afterlife of twentieth-century history in Europe. Born in Austria, he spent seven formative years in Turkey before returning to Graz in the final decade of the Cold War. His studies in cross-cultural communication took him to Moscow and Dublin in the early 1990s, and in 1995 he embarked on a career in international development that led him to conflict and transition settings across Europe, Central Asia, and beyond.
